These images show the hierarchy and scale of how they visually look demonstrate emphasis. The hierarchy in the New York shows the tallest building pop out more since its larger and the coler they picked for it. same thing for the bottom image circle pops out more since its larger and has more appealing color in contrast with its surroundings.
